Naturopathic Interventions for Alpha-gal Syndrome - Mammalian meat allergy

A unique, informative, well researched and independent webinar

Alpha-gal syndrome (previously known as Mammalian meat allergy) is on the rise and you may even have clients with this allergy already. There is a limited amount of information regarding Alpha-gal, particularly from the Naturopathic perspective.

Alpha-gal syndrome can be reduced and people can recover from this allergy. The information contained in this webinar is for practitioners to provide Naturopathic interventions to assist recovery while working alongside conventional required therapies. This information is certainly not a replacement for prescribed medications in acute and chronic allergic presentations.

The information is a combination of well researched approaches together with clinical experience and chosen interventions suited to the main symptom presentations.

In this unique webinar you will cover the following:

  • The most recent understanding of the mechanism of action.
  • Timeline of the research and evolution of Alpha-gal Syndrome (MMA)
  • Australian and International prevalence and how to record cases
  • The many and varied presentations in individual cases
  • What to watch out for, red flags
  • Management of acute reactions and important resources
  • Questions to ask clients
  • Treatment aims and treatment planning
  • Holistic understandings and details on what to cover
  • Key herbal medicines and mechanisms of action
  • Key nutrients and dietary considerations with mechanism of action
  • Lifestyle considerations including well researched natural options
  • Resources for practitioners
  • Resources and support networks for patients

There is an opportunity on the webinar to discuss real cases you may have and to ask questions. The cost of the webinar includes lifetime access to a practitioner forum where you can gain insights and support for Alpha-gal syndrome management from your colleagues.

About your presenter

Elizabeth Greenwood MHM, Naturopath

Elizabeth has been approached by practitioners and students many times over the past few years seeking her knowledge and information about this unique allergic presentation. She decided that a webinar focusing on Naturopathic interventions would enable a greater reach of awareness for practitioners.

Elizabeth became interested in Mammalian meat allergy, now known as Alpha-gal syndrome, after suffering anaphylaxis to unknown substances in 1996. Through trial and much error, she isolated it to meat and meat by products, however it was not until 13 long years later that this allergy would start to be understood.

Elizabeth has closely followed the evolution of this new disease through the research as well as chatting to many people who personally went through the same discoveries, confusion and lack of professional understanding.

She has presented on her personal experience as well as a timeline collation of the evolving research throughout Australia and Internationally, helping many practitioners support their patients.

Due to the many and varied presentation of this allergy, Elizabeth is certain that the holistic consultation and individual treatment approach will greatly assist in the recovery from this allergy.

Held on Wednesday 1st December. Recording now available
